Man Breaks Tv for Losing N700,000 In A Bet

For some of us who bet or have placed a bet at one time or the other, we know what it means to lose. And not just to lose but to lose a huge sum of money because of one match.

Nothing is as frustrating as this!

Meanwhile, this is what happened to one Nigerian man during the weekend as Nigeria lost to a 2-1 loss to the Algerians.

The man, (name withheld) had lost a whooping N700,000 just because Nigeria lost.

The Man, like most of us, had placed his bet on the three-time African champions (Nigeria) during their semi-final clash with Algeria, but never did he realise that the god of soccer was not with the Super Eagles that fateful day.

After Mahrez's 93rd stunning free-kick, the unknown man broke his TV screen with a stick as reported by his friend who went on Twitter to make a mockery of him.

The match seemed to be heading into extra time after Odion Ighalo scored a 72nd-minute penalty but it was not to be as the Manchester City star broke the heart of Nigerians in time added on.

Algeria will now face Senegal in a repeat of their first Group C clash where they defeated the Teranga Lions by 1-0.

The Super Eagles battled Tunisia in a third/fourth place playoff game with the Eagles coming atop.
